| Game review: Made for holojam #6 in less than one week. A short branching paths novel featuring Kiara and Calli as main characters. The game mostly consists of text with some choices along the way to get different endings. It's like a visual novel but without the visual part and with no audio, since the game has mostly a black screen background with white text. However, don't let this make you think it's a boring game! The story is well written, with many different endings depending on your choices and even some sort of time loop mechanic implemented if you start a new game after getting an ending. I don't know how many endings are available in the jam version of the game, but I managed to get: 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11 and 0. Oh and each ending is a reference to the lyrics to one of Calli's songs! Really nice touch. |
